According to Kat James, author of “The Truth About Beauty” and creator of the famous Total Transformation® Programs, tell us that some recent, well designed studies conducted at Harvard Medical School found that topically applied N-acetyl glucosomine (NAG) inhibited the activation of UV triggered enzymes that cause overproduction of melanin (pigment) that cause age spots. The damaging effects were increased even further when niacinamide, a water soluable form of vitamin-B was added in the research.

Together, this dynamic duo significantly reduced the amount and appearance of hyperpigmentation, age spots and uneven melanin distribution. Glucosomine alone, and with niacinamide was able not only to prevent age spots, but to reduce those that had already formed. Glucosomine also supports collagen and hylauronic acid production (similar to the action on the joints when used internally).
