Director of Nursing

A wonderful opportunity to deliver services of the highest caliber in an accredited continuing care retirement community. Successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure to practice as an RN in the state of Maryland, BSN desired. Work history must reflect a minimum of 5-7 years progressive management experience with at least 4 years of recent clinical experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • lead and supervise all nursing staff
  • oversight of all nursing services to ensure quality care
  • develop and implement quality improvement strategies
  • maintain the operating budget for the nursing department
  • proactively assess residents and make recommendations for interventions as needed

    Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be familiar with state and federal regulations specific to long-term care.

Personal Care Home Administrator

National Lutheran Home for the Aged, Inc. (NLHA), located in Rockville, MD is a senior living and healthcare ministry dedicated to providing high quality services to older adults for more than 100 years. NLHA is the parent company of National Lutheran Home & Village at Rockville (NLHV) and The Village at Orchard Ridge (TVOR), a newly planned state-of-the-art CCRC being developed in Winchester, VA.
 
NLHA seeks a committed, visionary CEO who will be responsible for all components of the organization in this newly created role.  Working in close partnership with the Board of Trustees, the CEO will guide the organization’s activities and growth in order to advance their long established mission and vision.  The CEO shall serve as chief liaison between NLHA and its subsidiaries, the Synods, ELCA, LSA, and community and governmental agencies.
 
The incumbent must have a minimum of ten years experience in operations, management, budgeting, fund development, and human services. Experience in senior housing or a human services comparable field is desirable.  Bachelor’s Degree in administration or comparable field is required and Master’s Degree is preferred.
The successful candidate will bring a passion and commitment for leading a faith based organization, possess the ability to articulate a vision, and have highly developed interpersonal communication skills.
