In addition, the bill requires nursing home administrators to complete continuing education credits related to both staff management and direct resident care, addressing topics including:

• assignment consistency and cultural change
• daily living activities
• wound care
• pain management
• prevention and treatment of depression
• prevention of pressure ulcers
• urinary incontinence management.

The bill was referred to the Health Committee of the DC Council.
