State's Long Term Care Survey Due June 7th
Don't forget! The Long-Term Care Survey, administered by the Maryland Health Care Commission, is due June 7th. The MHCC sent out letters to all affected providers in the beginning of April with facility login and password information. So far, very few providers have completed the survey. Providers that fail to complete the survey will be subject to penalties assessed by the MHCC.

Peer-to-Peer Panel on Positioning for the Future is 6/9
LifeSpan members are strongly encouraged to attend a FREE peer-to-peer meeting on June 9th, 10-12 @ Handelman Conference Center, to hear a panel discuss current and newly forming community-based senior care models in the region. Member Spotlight: Fahrney-Keedy, Hebrew Home, Jeanne Jugan and Family & Nursing Care!
These four fantastic LifeSpan members are in the news for their recent activities: At Fahrney-Keedy residents “donned” their chef coats to compete side- by-side with Cura Hospitality executive chefs in the community’s first “Chefs Challenge” event. Hebrew Home of Greater Washington is celebrating their 100 year anniversary! Family & Nursing Care's new Foundation awarded $30,000 in first-time grants to help sustain two non-profits that are improving the quality of life for low-income seniors. Jeanne Jugan Residence (Little Sisters of the Poor) in Washington DC was recently honored with the InnerView's Excellence in Action award, which recognizes those nursing homes that achieve high levels of excellence. Congratulations to all!
