On July 26th, LifeSpan's Assisted Living Task Force will be meeting to discuss the regulations and to develop our recommendations for revising them. LifeSpan thanks its members for sending in their comments. CCRC News: Federal Report Due Soon; Dept of Aging Continues Review of Regs
The federal Special Committee on Aging is holding a hearing on July 21st at 2:00 PM on the financing models of CCRCs and the regulations governing them . The hearing is titled "Continuing Care Retirement Communities: Secure Retirement or Risky Investment." This will coincide with the release of a GAO report on these issues. You can access the hearing on the Committee's website at www.aging.senate.gov. CCAC Continues Review of MD Continuing Care Laws In Maryland, LifeSpan continues to work with the State's Continuing Care Advisory Committee regarding revising the continuing care laws at the state level. >Read more
