LifeSpan Conference Registration is Open!
LifeSpan's annual conference, this year joint with HFAM, is set for September 29-October 2nd in Ocean City, and registration is now open! This year we've organized the best conference in the region for all senior care professionals in skilled nursing, continuing care, assisted living, adult day services & home health, and we're featuring:
- federal health care reform perspectives from AAHSA CEO Larry Minnix, ALFA CEO Rick Grimes and AHCA CEO Bruce Yarwood
- 22 CEUs for licensed professionals such as, nurses, nursing home administrators and social workers
- networking events – meet and greet with colleagues
- film festivals – timely and valuable topics
- a game show – something new and exciting where the audience gets to "play"
- an exhibit hall offering the latest products and services to benefit health care professionals and their organizations
A separate full day conference is being planned specifically for LifeSpan's housing members in October.

Beacon Launches Elearning

Assisted Living Regs, Sample Policies & Procedures Out
All LifeSpan assisted living members should have received by now a free compact disc (CD) containing all of the latest Maryland regulations affecting assisted living providers. This CD is a new benefit, free only to LifeSpan members and is intended to keep members organized and informed about current rules regarding operations and resident care. In addition, the CD contains sample forms for providers to use to improve their internal operating policies and procedures.
